I've been cooking with saffron recently. The trick is to let the pinch of saffron in a little bit of water for about 2 hours before cooking with it. Before figuring this out my rice was sucking.
Today I was looking at siphon coffee presses on ebay. I was wondering how to heat my TCA-5 Hario better. The alcohol lamp isn't cutting it. It takes too long and always is evaporating.
Working on some mini artist grants today. The city doesn't throw money at artists too often.
The Anderson swap meet is cool. I got lots of envelopes.
The Salvation Army in Red Bluff is amazing. Don't tell too many people. I got some amazing deals.
Finally got a 16gb micro sd card. What do I with it now?

Chico to Redding and Back
Went to Redding today. It was good to get out of town. The purpose to get out of town was to go to the flea market up there. It's pretty cheap. I was expecting it was going to be cheaper because people need their drugs. Anyway, didn't make it in time. Will have to try again another week. It's pouring in Chico. Let's hope it does not storm like last year, need electricity!!!
I saw Radio Shack has 8gb cards for 40 bucks. The 16gb one were still over 150.
Got a 8MP OLYMPUS FE-360 today only $107 out the door at Radio Shack. I'm gunna take some shots to see if it's worth keeping.
Went to Nipa's Thai Cusine also. I would rate it 8.5 / 10 Pretty good. The coconut milk soup with tofu is a winner. A little creepy.

V day!
Today I did spending money here:
Chico Saturday Market- Got some eggs there for 5 bucks. Bread was 5 bucks. And fancy chee.
Flea Market- I got some strange shit I didn't need. To bowlish acorn leaf dishes. Only $1. And some coins.
Chico Mall- I never go there. But some business are going out of sale. I got some shirts at Gottschalks. Cheap +10 points for me.
I made ZERO dollars today:
TOTAL -500 ish dollars.

At Empire Coffee
Closing up at the Empire Coffee these guys take so long. There was some poetry tonight. They are taking a long time because they there's dudes talking. It's what they do professionally. Matt and Andrew are just trying to clean up and get the fuck outta here. I think I beat my Empire Coffee record. At least I got some shit done. Started this blog. Did some GD and some web work. Note to self: get out while you are ahead.

Hey this is Max here. This is my first posting to blogger.com! I am so excited. I am going to try to write everyday. It's so cool. Tonight I'm sitting at empire coffee here in Chico. It's awesome. There's some crazy people here and some not crazy people. I just had some tea that got me kind of lit. At 4 bucks a pot it's worth it. Three steepings so far.
